Dell does sell boxed processors too as I recall they sold a good chunk of Athlon 64 processors in the past two years. Perhaps someone could check Dell's Accessories and Peripherals to see if they have them in stock.

I'd think that HP could make money doing the same thing. Though they probably make more money on complete systems.
