large cache CPUs?

It's a very obvious way for Intel to improve performance, and hurt AMD. We will probably see it if AMD64 processors cause any kind of trouble to Intel.

We can already see it in Itanium, which is a processor in trouble. Intel had to put in 6MB of cache to get decent performance out of it.
