It's just my opinion, but it could be a few reasons:

1.) The subcriber numbers weren't coming in like they thought they would.
2.) The webpage is low tech and they couldn't figure out how to auto-update the subscriber number.
3.) Due to reason #2, the geek in charge of the website got mad and walked because Tom wouldn't listen to his great ideas.
4.) Because of reason #1 the number won't reappear until a significant increase in subscribers.
5.) Everyone is too busy to update the number.

It doesn't even matter much what the reason is. When this web series hits the air, most, if not all of those followers on the Lovecraft-eZine to the tune of 244,954, will sign up for the LOVECRAFT.TV subscription. They're already H.P. Lovecraft fans. There hasn't been any really big production on the eZine site, although there are a lot of small things going on. So Mountains of Madness is a pretty big deal. It's got top billing on that eZine webpage too if you look at where the link is placed. That number could easily expand to between 500,000 and a million depending on the advertising and promotion given on the web. There are so many young adults and teenagers that have never heard of Lovecraft or his works that will eat this kind of a series up just like we did in the 60's with Jonny Quest. It will be up to Tom to figure out how to get the widest possible advertisement for his buck but I think he's already got that part figured out.

It would be nice if he gave us all a clue about when the actual release date will be. But he probably won't. He's not a sociable fellow, if you get my drift. He hasn't communicated with shareholders other than the NEWS MEDIA WIRE releases and the 10-Q's and K's. No social media for Tom. Oh well, it doesn't matter.

Come on October...
