I must concur here, the FDA guidelines say 3000 mg max is the highest for extra strength dosing of APAP (tylenol extra strength). But overall guidelines say 4000 mg max/day is the absolute limit, although many doctors stay under 3250mg.

Now one dose in excess of 10,000mg/day can cause acute Liver failure in a vast majority of the population, and chronic doses of even 4,000 mg have been proven to do the same.

That man must have had a ton of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), mucomyst, to prevent the inevitable liver toxicity. As mucomyst (NAC) is used to replenish glutathione stores, which usually are the detoxifying enzymes for APAP, that get used up.

The spillover from glutathione to CYP2E1, is what causes the vast destruction of the live cells through reactive intermediates, which go on to form covalent bonds, and induce necrosis of those cells.

In short, I have no idea how that man is living unless he had a ton of NAC on hand, or via a very rich diet in glutathione such as asparagus/garlic/avocados.
