My biggest worry with this company has always been developing a truly intuitive device that can perform as precise and smooth as DaVinci. The complexity to engineer the additional degrees of freedom was probably more than what was realistically achievable within anticipated scope and budget.

I think the additional indications announcement was the time to drop this, that was a stall tactic from the truth that this was not even close to prime time... once the robot is operational and ready to go to market, an initial indication would have been great proof of concept and get some revenue flowing and spark interest, and then they could have expanded indications moving forward with some money in the bank.

Reason that didn't happen was the robot has probably never achieved the functionality to truly meet expectations of daVinci users and so you have to ask, given the complexity of the engineering involved, which realistically is probably exponentially greater vs daVinci, are they even really close to a product that will be viable in the real world?
