No,
She has, as you, no understanding of what the United States Flag stands for.
Imagine you are a United States Flag, with consciousness.
What action by a United States citizen, say you towards "The Flag," would convey their thankfulness and appreciation to live in this country where you have the freedom to talk against and question the actions of the United States government?
But more specific, how can you honor and show thanks towards all the past and current soldiers that fought in wars that today allows the United States Flag to represent our freedom.
No, I'm not talking about our right to speak, as that freedom did not come from the Flag, but the Flag represents that that right still exists.
What actions, by you, towards the United States Flag, would deliver a true understanding such that the United States Flag would receive the honor and respect so deserved?
For sure, if you saw a United States citizen take the Flag and throw it upon the ground and step on it, you would be outraged.
If so, then what would that United States Flag with consciousness think about you?
Answer: The Flag would receive your action as disrespect towards it.
The Flag would know that you would want a federal law that prohibits such activity, such that if done that person would forfeit their United States citizenship.
What activity towards The Flag, would be received by this Flag with consciousness, such that it would receive an action upon it that would be a true and respectful deliverance by an United States citizenship that understands it's true nature?
Answer: Take a Flag, and in front of any federal building (best, in front of the White House while the President of the United States is "home" looking out the window watching you) you throw The Flag upon the ground, and shit upon it.
Do that in Russia or China... ya, their Flags contain nothing like ours to represent as freedom.
Once again,
Our Flag did not deliver those rights so obtained as being a United States citizenship, but is a symbol that we have those rights.
To prevent any United States citizenship from exercising our rights using The Flag is disrespect towards The Flag.
But Wait,
You are not saying that anyone is denied that right, as we all have that right, but you are saying that anyone that uses the Flag in a symbolic manner to highlight their perceived injustice in the United States shows disrespect towards the United States Flag.
Nope.
Just the opposite.
Those United States Flags with consciousness, in these "sit-down, kneel" as the national anthem is played, receive respect from those that use The Flag as a carrier to express their opinion of injustice existing in the United States.
The Flag with consciousness has no opinion of the truth or correctness of the opinion being expressed by those that will not stand while the national anthem is played.
The Flag is honored when a person's activity demonstrates what it truly stands for here in the United States.
To be clear,
The Flag should NOT be violated in a meaningless manner.
Only be allowed to be used in a meaningful display to declare a person's opinion that activity within the United States, to this person, is counter to what The Flag represents.
To put in another way: Not standing "for" The Flag, or not "flying" a Flag is an expression by a person that activity taking place is a violation against rights obtained by all citizens through the efforts of soldiers and others that sacrificed to make the United States what it is today.
