I'd call that loose journalistic language rather than an actual mistake.

This is the offending sentence I was complaining about:

And thus four drug makers — Amgen, Eli Lilly, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Alder Biopharmaceuticals — have fashioned antibodies that can bind to CGRP molecules and block their activity.



Only three of these molecules actually bind to CGRP - Amgen has a mab that binds to the CGRP receptor.

I might speculate that in theory that approach might produce longer duration (because no target-mediated destruction of the drug), but no evidence I know of that that has actually turned out to be the case.
