I'm sorry but in America today black people are being shot by police at a record pace, and many of them are unarmed. I've been on this planet 67 years and I can't remember when so many have been gunned down. Perhaps the 60's were comparable but I was too busy with high school and chasing girls to notice. I realize being a police officer is a dangerous job and that many kids today are armed. That still doesn't justify shooting first and asking questions later. Being a cop is a choice and the people going into the profession should know how dangerous it can be. Often people with knives or some other instrument are shot. There are other non lethal ways of neutralizing these people, the gun should not be the first choice.

I think you are totally wrong... In the 60's and 70's you are correct. Maybe even the 80's in the south. But since the 90's things have slowed or reversed. When the camera phone was invented, things have corrected. For the last 10+ years, nothing happens without it being filmed. Hell, people will film a women getting raped instead of stopping it!

I have no answerers for the current situation but IMO, the main reason for blacks being in the position they are in is having local leaders only interested in there money/power, with the state wide leaders supporting them and the federal leaders backing them. This is the democratic party!!!!! I hate them for it!
