When EVERY step is ballparked (and I can't do any better) the the conversation is not productive.

I would always come back to the same questions:

1) Who are we supplying with silk? (We don't know yet)

2) How much do they need? (We don't know yet)

3) What can we charge? (Kim SHOULD know this, but I don't. I wont pretend to, I'm a geneticist)

Only if you know 1 and 2 can you speak to what kind of infrastructure we need. Bigger is bwtter, but only with buyers. That's why I like Indiana. It gives us a place to make micro-amounts to entice buyers. They can communicate their needs and we can work that into our plans.

Perhaps Nike/UA/Reebok have talked to Kim about what they would need as a starting amount. But it's not more than ANY country could produce. Just because they don't currently produce XYZ amount, doesn't mean they can't. We can charge more than mundane silk, so we can afford not to pay rock bottom, slave labor prices.
