I understand what you have said, but it is oversimplified in my opinion.
How does only a few thousand stocks move the price by 5% when 10's of millions are outstanding? That is the question. By your logic, If I bid $1.00 on Monday on 2000 shares the price should jump to $ 1.00 if only one person is willing to pay that much.
