Hard to say, but would explain the outfit connection with at least 2 of Sam's other past employers. And, the Chicago mob controlled Vegas until the 90's, so possible. 2 of the guys that killed Pesci's real life character and his brother lived in Riverside, among a throng of others, Frank Nitti, etc...
