It could, but IMO a better "corollary" (wrong word, but I'll go with it anyway) would be "Birtherism". That is, Genstrips are in fact outselling JNJ strips on Amazon. Obviously the longer the moving average time period, the less the deterioration in JNJ strip sales ranking would be. My point is that this may be a real US based birth, and attempts to refute it with pure political BS are suspect.
