BIEI was pursuing overseas specifically Brazil but that did not come to fruition. Instead of the JV overseas BIEI will market patches and other topical pain relievers. The reason that BIEI was pursuing an overseas JV is the FDA requirements for extensive testing, which would require at least a year and $10,000,000. The topical pain relievers do not require FDA approval. Sales from the topical pain relievers can finance current overhead, research, etc.
