"If I have broken some sort of rule hear than spell it out."

I am not sure why rational behavior needs to be spelled out. This is an investment board, not a fan site. As a result, terms like "Jihad Jerry" can be considered inappropriate...

If it is true that you are posting here as a result of what Dan3 has posted over on the INTC board, then that shows a certain lack of maturity on your part. We cannot be responsible for Dan3's behavior, we don't have control over it. Nor do I recall anyone here posting "say Dan, why not go over to the Intel board an do a little bashing". Perhaps you should take your own advice as to the use of the "ignore" function?

Mow as far as the issue of you bringing balance to this board, why do you feel the need? There are many of the investors here who ar critical of AMD. The fact that you seem to view that this is just a cheerleading board means that you haven't read much here or you have a disturbing disconnect from reality. But even if it were only a cheerleading group over here, why should it matter to you? It only affects you if you choose to let it. As far as I know, there is no ethical obligation for you to go around and bring balance to every group. So if you want to bash, go to yahoo, it's what they do there. If you feel a crying need to "bring balance" go to, say, "AmdZone" and balance all you want.

If you want to be taken seriously here, at least try to make sense. For example, it isn't clear what IBM has done to AMD in the past. Nor have you made any case for 300mm. Sure, it helps cut costs, but it is of no use to AMD if a) SOI wafers aren't readily available in 300mm and b) they aren't running at capacity in their fabs. To do it just "because Intel is doing it" isn't really sufficient. Now at some point they'll have to use 300mm because the equipment they need won'y be designed for 200mm, but that time isn't now. Which is why they are researching it.
