Odd that your paper provided shows no term called an "avatar" does it? And it addressed two dimensions but not three! Sadly these two issues are at the heart of the patents in question!

Oh and there is some great info in the transcripts on the rendering topic! Try reading it! It will lend some insight for you on how funkhowser doesn't over come the hurdles it must to invalidate!
