Is the FLDS cult expanding its presence in South Dakota?

Tuesday January 27, 2015 FLDS, RNB's Religion News Blog

… Less than a year after the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) lost its Yearning For Zion ranch to the State of Texas, there are sign that the church, one of many polygamous cults and sects of the Mormon Church,1 is expanding its presence in South Dakota.

The article is out-of-date in that at the time Lyle Jeffs was still in custody. My question was "is the FLDS still tax exempt?" They obviously are up for state property taxes. How about federal income tax? Let's see. Hmm. No luck on that, but .. welcome to theocracy in practice in the U.S.A.

"Warren Jeffs continues to hold sway over the sect from prison, according to testimony at the civil trial in Phoenix. Lyle Jeffs carries out his directives as the bishop of Short Creek, which includes Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona, the two cities targeted in the verdict in Phoenix. And Seth Jeffs is bishop of a compound near Pringle, South Dakota, known as R-23."

As of now my question sits temporarily unanswered. I guess if they have any income it would be still exempt, just because it's still despite the depravity of the beliefs .. a church.
