I don't have to hope. ALL stocks, regardless of how good they are doing and how great the news is don't just shoot straight up. Ever wonder why? Ever wonder how MMs make money or how an actual trade happens?

The MMs will let something run for a while, sell you shares that they don't have (and they are allowed to do this legally, because they are MMs and it is their job to create liquidity), and then bring it down to actually "buy" the shares they sold you. Now, I'm not saying that this is the only strategy, but it's one of the most predominant ones. If you have traded long enough, it becomes quite apparent and chart patterns are very very easy to spot.
