While hank has indeed been out of commission, it has far from meant the day-to-day operations have ceased. The unfortunate truth is that until very recently, David has had the jobs of three men: the CFO, the COO, and the CEO all the while doing whatever is necessary for his other business and day-to-day life. I believe it fair to add he is doing this for free at the moment, and I believe a lot of thought should be granted to that point.
As for the delay, the reason has been several fold. The litigation introduced complications, then Hank had medical issues, then the acquisition negotiations started to take root, the audits required recalibration since Smith was being difficult, and all the while David still has to fit in basic operations and duties of running the company.
On topic of the new acquisitions, I believe I should make it clear they will hold no bearing on the finances if the audits, since the audits are for months past prior to their induction.
When I last spoke to David he had three planes to catch in the next three days. The man is not dilly-dallying about. I understand audits are late and he lapses to communicate with us on a timely schedule, but business does not run as smoothly as one would hope. Is that an excuse? No. I would love to hear from him as much as you bud, but he's trying, and he has as much if not more to gain from this as we do.
Best of luck to you Ross.
