The implication is that the nozzles are being produced to a minimum standard that the FAA is willing to accept. Unfortunately, there has been no confirmation that PR3D has been utilized for this part so far - production that is. I fully expect that they eventually will, but apparently they are able to perform traditional NDE on these specific parts post-AM.

My 2 cents says that the transition will happen soon after the GE/SGLB America Makes project is completed.

Question ... Has PR3D been implemented on an Arcam EBM machine with or without multiple beams? I know we've heard it several times from Vivek that PR3D could be applied to a variety of technologies. I'm just wondering due to the pending GE purchase of Arcam and the prospect of GE utilizing a bunch of EBM machines.

Also, I remember someone asking if GE had AM production certification from the FAA yet for the LEAP platform. They stated that that is all done. The fuel nozzles are all cleared with FAA and actually in commercial flight already.
