Pfizer agreed to pay $81.50 a share, way above the previous offer of $58 a share by French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi
This is why I say I hope they are talking to more than one potential partner - even if only 2 want the same thing, you are pretty well guaranteed to get "good" if not "maximum" value.
I'm hoping it's between Pfizer (in order to get their foot in the door to protect their Lyrica franchise) and J&J as wishful thinking, because J&J will give Pfizer a run for their money... but I would not be surprised to see Endo in the running.
I'm predicting a Pfizer buyout at end of 2018 - mid 2019 - for somewhere between $2 billion and $2.5 billion... at which time IPCI will have 50 million shares. - stock price to be $40.00 to $50.00
