I have a question for those in the know. I have seen 4-5 trades go through @ .007 and the ask is unaffected, stays @ .oo7. then a trade for 500 goes through @ .0065 and that drops the ask. What are the mechanisms at work here? What causes the ask to go up? I am guessing many have trades in above the .007 ask but this doesn't affect it. Can anyone tell me what is going on? My only speculation is that the MMs are in control but then that flys in the face of what I have been told in the past whaich is the MMs make their money on the spread. Obviously I am new (although not to this stock, just haven't been watching for long.
