Geron Files for $250 Million Debt and Stock Offering
Does anyone have any more news on this. I Saw this news blip on Etrade this morning that was posted after the market close on friday.

Shares of Geron Corp. (GERN) fell 2.2% to $5.86 after the biopharmaceutical company said it intended to sell up to $250 million in debt securities and stock, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Menlo Park, Calif., company said it intends to use the net proceeds from the sale for general corporate purposes, which may include funding research and development, increasing working capital, reducing debt, acquisitions or investments and capital expenditures.

Shares of Centene Corp. (CNC) inched up 0.9% to $17.50 after announcing its Indiana unit, Managed Health Services), was awarded a Indiana Medicaid managed care contract.

The contract, effective Jan. 1, hired Managed Health to manage a portion of the approximately 535,000 eligible Hoosier Healthwise members.
