RR is having "Intermediate" Turbine Blade Trouble...

At lease from the articles I have reviewed it appears the problem is LPT blades but they call them "Intermediate" in this article...

RR is suppose to have a newly developed blade ready for replacement by end of 2016... could they possibly be EBM produced ?? Probably not as I think we would have heard more about that by now... Still they must find it tempting to follow in GEs footsteps...

I just hope we never read where an EBM produced blade causes an engine to explode... That is a risk...
