I can't see at all how a Tuesday PR would be impacted by a subsequent Monday holiday.

Friday, absolutely. But not Tuesday. There are 4 trading days (Tuesday included) before Labor Day. It would be relatively old news by then anyhow, and opens up the door for a real wham-bam, thank you Sam PR the following Tuesday.

Not that I think PRs are planned like that at all from Kim's perspective, but if I ran a company and thought I'd have two PRs in two weeks, I'd intentionally pick these two weeks for maximal impact.
