The cannabis sector seems to be attracting many brilliant minds. According to reports, former Barclay’s banker Roger Jenkins is making significant investments in marijuana projects. The cannabis investment by Jenkins, who is now residing in California, goes against the normal antipathy of banks and bankers in getting involved with marijuana industry projects.
According to High Finance Report, the ex-banker seems to know the emerging commercial potential of weed and the returns that will come from cannabis. Jenkins seems to be reposing full faith in cannabis with his hard cash.
Jenkins had a great career in Barclays. He left in 2009 on a high note after having helped the British financial giant with a $16 billion in Middle Eastern investments and saving it from government bailout funds during the global financial crisis.
The Jenkins’ investment group has not spelled out any detailed on what they are going to do with the chunk of land. But an announcement is expected sometime after the vote in November.
