I'm somewhat suspicious of your claim to have found gold with a metal detector, since pure gold is virtually non-magnetic. There are ferrous metals that form molecules with gold, thus imparting a physical magnetic signature, but then you have to refine it to remove the iron and other impurities (usually in the form of magnetite).

I won't challenge your claim that there are buyers of these somewhat impure "nuggets", but I would imagine that those buyers are either charging a premium for smelting, or are buying for the novelty/jewellry after-market.

In the case of PAIM, can you name just one publically trading company that can support a share holder base with a placer operation? These are mostly mom and pop operations that, if run efficiently, can support a family business.

Why am I here "bashing" PAIM? Like Janice, it is sort of a hobby. It is vastly entertaining reading the posts of those that know zero about mining, but still make outrageously inaccurate statements about how PAIM will make them rich.
