Interesting, I looked at some old mails from Dan. Some quotes:

By the way, I consider it in the meantime almost impossible that we have a dry hole in the same way that TAIPAN had one.

We are at least 149 days after spudding, without any official dry hole conformation or even follow up on that rumor.

The editor of OilnewsKenya does not react to my question as to how it is possible that there still isn't a confirmation of the dry and abandoned rumor, but also no follow up WHATSOEVER on the rumor, either a more in depth elaboration on the rumor, or more confirmations via other channels.

Nothing... nada. They got a message from one person, at one time. After that: zip.

Seems like the lips of the people in the know, company execs, are sealed, still. Properly sealed.
