I still have many of the old 5-1/4 inch, and an old working 486 machine that has the drive for it, but also used to have the 8 inch (or whatever) one, on an old TRS-80, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.....
and plenty of the 3.5 inch encased floppies, of course....I even carry a 3.5 inch USB floppy drive sometimes with my laptop for legacy machine work....
interesting side note: the spec for floppy size still carries over today for HDD and SDD, in size form-factor 5-1/4 and 3.5 inch bays...
