I have to disagree with you somewhat.

HDR is actually the biggest leap forward in overall image quality since the invention of color TV. Anyone who says different quite simply does not understand what HDR is about.

So it's no wonder scams like NTEK leech on to HDR, hoping that the mere mention of it is enough to convince a few more investors. Streaming HDR is so far out of NTEK's reach all they can do about it is spread rumors and lies.

It may be a complete abject failure at 4K, but all is not lost. Perhaps you can hook it up to an old VHS and convert vhs to dvd at sub HD quality? HDR is another hyped standard that isn't revolutionary or even unique that isn't really happening. The 4K marketers are desperate to sell the 4k glut of devices that didn't go over last year and tried using HDR heaped on top of them.
