TRIL is taking serial, on-treatment tumor biopsies of both injected(I) and non-injected(NI) cancer lesions. They are expecting to see these:

1. TAM phenotype M2 converted to M1 and phagocytosis in I lesions.

2. CD8-TIL counts increases in NI lesions as the adaptive immune system is activated by macrophages presenting tumor antigens from 1.

If TRIL can prove 1 & 2, anti CD47 + anti PD1 combo will be the 'holy grail'.
