Effexor XR has low value. I think it costs less than $1 per pill. A months supply costs around $11 to $55, according to goodrx.com

Numbers, I have to say I'm disappointed at your sense of logic.

Tylenol sells for 8 cents a pill, but it brings in $1.8 Billion a year for J&J.

You don't look at the share price to ascertain how big a company is... you look at Market Cap.

Similarly... you don't look at cost per pill to evaluate a drug's potential... you look at Total Sales.

A quick way to guesstimate the Effexor value to IPCI is to look at something already on the market, and extrapolate from that.

Would you agree that since Focalin is bringing in $4.5 million in royalties for 2 doses, it should/will bring in $13.5 million for the complete set of 6???

June 2016 Sales #s for previous 12 months

Now if Focalin brings in $13.5 million out of a $751 million Focalin total market, which is = 1.79%... shouldn't Effexor bring in $12 million out of a $672 million Effexor total market, which is = 1.75%???

Now you might say that there are at least 10 manufacturers for Effexor but only 5 or 6 for Focalin... but I believe Focalin split with Par is probably 30% to 40% because Focalin partnered early and PAR paid for most of the development besides the partnering and approval milestone payments, whereas IPCI's split, with whoever they partner Effexor with, will be a minimum of 50% to 60% since it was developed totally on IPCI's nickel and IPCI brought it through FDA approval.

Another way of figuring it... Total Effexor market = $670 million x 5% market penetration = $33.5 million. Assuming 50/50 with partner, then IPCI gets $16.75 million per year... I had guesstimated a low $12 million a year... you think that's too much???

Do you think that IPCI's partner... being 1 of 11 wholesalers can capture 5% market share??? a lamb's share of the pie???

Would love to see your "numbers" that show this to be a "low value"
