Keith - thank you for your open and honest response. I am sorry you suffered such a large loss. Your sense of betrayal of your trust in Caragol's statements is understandable. I had the same experience in the beginning of my investment career. I believed in a company named GasFrac which used a green technology of fracking. It grew but fell quickly with the collapse of the oil market. The investment the company made in equipment and staff was too burdensome and they went bankrupt with no warning. I should have seen it coming but I rode it all the way down and lost everything.

That loss stares me in the face at the bottom of my portfolio every time I log on. I will never make that mistake again. I thought management would be able to ride out the boom and bust cycle, but I was wrong.

Now I am much more conservative in how much I invest in one company, keep a diverse portfolio and partially trade out with highs and back in with lows. I try not to get into a stock too early but I watch the financial statements closely and get out when I see things going south.

The stock market is a gamble and is rigged in favor of bigger players. Any sign of weakness in a company is an open invitation to shorters who can be ruthless in driving the share price down.
