Well what u said is all good and sound but accounting 101 tells u if ur accumulated retained earnings is negative you can't pay dividend until it is positive once again. Grab any accountants and ask them. Currently the book equity value is deep in the red primarily because the accumulated retained earning is ~minus $129 billion.
