It may be official now, but clearly Breitbart News Chairman Stephen Bannon had been involved in the campaign since it’s inception. Do the words Titanic deck chairs resonate?

This bad joke keeps getting worse. As Donald Trump tries to keep his campaign afloat he made a bold move. Trump hired (or promoted) Stephen Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News LLC, who will become the Republican campaign’s chief executive, and Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser and pollster for Mr. Trump and his running mate, Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, will become the campaign manager. In Trump’s struggling campaign nothing is out of bounds.

, was confirmed early Wednesday by Ms. Conway in a brief interview, but she rejected the idea that the changes amounted to a shake-up and said that Mr. Manafort was not being diminished.

“It’s an expansion at a busy time in the final stretch of the campaign,” she said, adding that Mr. Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, would remain in their roles.

“We met as the ‘core four’ today,” Ms. Conway added, referring to herself, Mr. Bannon, Mr. Manafort and Mr. Gates.

"People briefed on the move said that it reflected Mr. Trump’s realization that his campaign was at a crisis point. But it indicates that the candidate?—?who has chafed at making the types of changes his current aides have asked for, even though he had acknowledged they would need to occur?—?has decided to embrace his aggressive style for the duration of the race.

It’s no big secret that Brannon and Breitbart News has been in Trump’s back pocket from the inception of the campaign. Along with the Drudge Report who has treated Trump quite kindly during the 2016 election cycle. While he has no apparent campaign experience, Bannon is nonetheless considered influential in conservative politics because of his ties to the Mercer family of mega-donors and his perch atop the conservative Breitbart News, which has been supportive of Trump’s campaign.

Brilliant move on Trump’s part. Sure to boost his brand. Go flat out crazy, have those big rallies, spew BS, toss out the teleprompter! Good times! His attempt to be sane and reasonable was a complete waste of time, and, worse, boring! Now we can enjoy the full insanity of Trump 24/7 without any dull speeches written by who knows who.

Once again, the GOP doubles down on “The Stupid” and now the clown car has run off the tracks. The implosion of the Conservative party continues in an unstoppable chain reaction .

Trump has a purpose , and it could prove to be much more dangerous.

I wonder if Steve Bannon has a brother named John?
