In my experience, not much happens in August. Lawyers, accountants, bankers and financiers etc., tend to take August off, so it can be very difficult to get things done. You never do anything newsworthy in August, because no one is watching. August also tends to be the month where the company evaluates its business plans, presses the flesh with potential new investors, and gets ready for the next 12 months. I wouldn't expect the company to become current with its financials until after Labor Day. I'm going to chill and enjoy the sun in the meantime.
