My wife is an RN and has seen it all. She always says its imperative that the patient also takes responsibility for their own care and not let the doctors strictly run the show. Get a new Endo or insist on being able to try Afrezza as your wife at 71 has little to lose at this point. Patients don't ask enough questions and to often just do as they are told. Dr's have limitations just like anyone and are not some god like person. Be responsible, be pro-active and always get 2nd opinions. GL
