I don't think it's logical to attribute the timing of information release to whether or not that information is going to be good or bad news. Companies schedule the timing of their earnings releases well-before they could know whether or not its going to be a positive release. IMO, they're not going to slip out little pieces of information, good or bad, during the day when they have an event scheduled post-closing.
