Hey bud I have an Engineering degrees and studied material science, but no specific textile experience. I am pretty sure that if we are talking bullet proof textiles, that they will almost certainly be a blend not pure spider silk. The silk is added for tensile strength, but does not need to be 100% to guarantee strength. It is all in the way it is weaved together. Again no textile experience, but most certainly a blend!
