Generally, people buy machines that fit into their budget, look attractive to them (which has nothing to do with benchmarks and reviews on Anandtech), do the required job, and, most importantly for AMD, are actually on sale where it matters.

You conveniently forgot a major factor, BRAND. Who holds the world's number five ranked brand? Hint, it's not AMD. I'm not sure what OEM you work for, but the biggest OEMs (Dell, HP, and IBM) know and understand the value of a brand and are more than willing to tout Intel inside.

I won't touch your monopolistic conspiracy theories, I get tired of reading that bull shit year after year.
