"Financials are typically the first stocks to gain favor in a bull market."
It'll be interesting to watch which way things go... maybe all this reflects economic uncertainty. From what I've been hearing on the local news, Silicon Valley is cooling down... less traffic... layoffs... home prices stabilizing and even dropping a little. I work for a software development company and just a year ago we couldn't hire anyone because the market was so tight. Now we get quite a few qualified candidates to fill openings. And then we have the power crisis here in CA, I'm personally a little concerned about the economy in general... or is all the money just flowing from CA to TX? lol
Reminds me of a good one liner:
"If the nation's economists were laid end to end, they would point in all directions." -- Arthur "Red" Motley, American publisher and president, U.S. Chamber of Commerce
