patent has been in a back and forth between the examiner and NTI since receiving "final rejection" in February. NTI asked for reconsideration under a pilot program. Reconsideration was approved under Pilot. Basically it looks like they withdraw some claims/amend the others to the examiners "liking". Latest on 8/2/16 was a "request for continued examination". It looks as though it is down to claims 1-7, and claim 1 is being discussed. If you care to dig deeper search the application number on the USPTO pair website.
This patent is in its "final stages" and could receive a notice of allowance within 6 months.
