This is a French company with a compressed air powered car.

hmmmmmmmmm

Zapata has developed water and now air pumps that are perhaps unrivaled for efficiency in producing "large" amounts of these propellants.

Zapata's air pump systems were probably built off their water pump systems that have been developing for years.

The psi required to drive the airpod is probably much higher than what Zapata's air pumps can currently create but and this is where Zapata might have his feet on the ground and I don't. What is to prevent a gas turbine power generator from driving a Zapata air pump system? My guess is that air motors are much much simpler than electric motors. Actually I know this because I have used both. This is why Airpod might put Tesla out of business.

The challenge for the Airpod is that it requires specialized charging stations everywhere. A jet turbine power generator driving a Zapata air pump does not. Wild maybe but fun to think of a jet turbine creating massive amounts of cheap compressed air driving wheels attached to very simple air motors. Sure saves on copper, lithium and parts count.
