It wont happen unless there is an emergency requiring it imo. The last time they raised the rates, the market tanked as evidenced last Jan/Feb. I seriously don't believe they will make a move to raise rates knowing the probable outcome before an election. Doesn't mean there won't be another incident that will make them correct though. Some events are uncontrollable, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese give a behind the scene heads up, before they make changes to currency valuations and likewise for all parties.
