BWR, Digitech...Q1 was not a typical quarter either. Comparing the provisional liabilities (material that has been paid for but not recorded as a sale yet) to the year ago period they show 44mil vs 14mil in spite of overall lower sales due to mine closures.

My point is that the way BWR accounts for sales brings more volatility to quarterly results. I'm really not sure why they do it the way they do but they do. Volatility is a double edged sword and we may well see next quarter's results exceed expectations due to that variance. With investors' preoccupation with the bottom line number, it could well bring about a big buying spree....ie higher stock price. I wish the QA period of the conf call would have focused more on this. Maybe one of us from the VMC crew should participate in their next CC.
