? Agree speed reading could be considered a "brain exercise". The question is whether there is any substantive proof (see my list in previous post) that it delays general mental decline. ?
BTW - currently it generally accepted by everyone that physical exercise provides long term health benefits, and this same kind of belief seems to propagate to mental. But a reminder that 60 or 70 years ago the general belief for the effects of physical exercise were generally the opposite (and the logic is not unreasonable (wear and tear) - it just turned out to be wrong once better studies/trials were done)
