Buying, especially at the ask, is never a bad thing...it's where and when you sell. Always try to set a sell point where someone will buy it at the ask rather than panic and sell to the highest bidder. That kills momentum. Good luck to you!

I'm in a similar boat...not medical bills but taxes from poor financial choices when I was younger. Would love to go from making monthly payments to paying everything off in one lump sum.
