That's funny, in the Netherlands this year's graduates are all well trained working with Autocad Inventor, all of them.
This is free software for all students.
And most students are familiar with additive manufacturing, and have parts printed for study projects.

Latest development; technical University Eindhoven and TNO (a research institute supported by the government) will start together a European research center for 3D printing.
