@APDN), a provider of DNA-based supply chain, anti-counterfeiting and anti-theft technology, product genotyping and product authentication solutions, announced that SmokeCloak DNA, the innovative fog security system, was responsible for stopping 2 break ins at independent pharmacies in West Texas. In both cases, the front doors were smashed in setting off the alarm which triggered an activation from the SmokeCloak DNA machine filling the store with a harmless fog embedded with a unique DNA marker. In one case, the burglar didn't attempt entry when he saw the fog filling the pharmacy. In the second one, the burglar gained entry but quickly left when he couldn't see anything. Both of these accounts were verified by video recording and nothing was taken from either location.
SmokeCloak DNA, winner of Popular Science's Innovation Award for Security is a safe and very effective security system that quickly fills the protected area with a harmless, dense fog vapor that makes it virtually impossible to see anything. A DNA marker was added to the system last year that is unique to each location and marks the criminal with a forensic code that places them at the scene of the crime.
