It appears almost certain at this point in time that the private placement has been an epic failure, having raised only a fraction of what would be required to drill even one hole. But that seems to have been the intent. By pricing the offering at 100% higher than free trading shares, Briscoe is safe, his Hay Market sham will not be exposed as that by drilling. Pity his most rabid followers got drained of what little money they had left to pour into this black hole.
