Sounds like he wanted to pick Tubby, his fellow mob boss from Joisey.

At least he didn't pick Ivanka, but turmoil is guaranteed for ratings. In fact, I am predicting an assassination attempt on someone from his inner circle before the election to milk the emotional angle.
